IIS Connector on Install

Hello, I hope this is an easy answer. I currently have 2 instances of
Lucee that have been converted from Railo running on a Windows server. I
am getting ready to install a new instance of Lucee and it is asking if I
want to install the IIS connector. If i keep the check-box checked will it
interfere with my current installations of the other instances?

I usually use the Bon Code Connector to hook a site to IIS.

thanks.

Hi Barbara,

The checkbox in the installer will install a web-server-wide connector. If you’re looking to connect different sites to different instances then you should NOT check the checkbox. Instead, you should uncheck it and install a site-specific connector manually.

Attached is a doc I wrote for Railo regarding multi-instance installs. While it’s obviously old, the principals it refers to are still relevant - so with some interpolation, I believe it can help get you where you want to be with your new Lucee setup.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Adding to this, it would be nice if it would be possible to select which
IIS sites you want to run with BonCode.
ACF has this in their wsconfig.exe tool that configures the IIS/Tomcat
connectors.

That would make the installer compatible to all setups IMO.On Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 2:55:18 AM UTC+2, Barbara ONeal wrote:

One more thing I would suggest with the installer is to say if you want to
run multiple instances do not check. the way it reads now is “if you are
not sure then leave checked” that is a bit confusing.

Thanks Jordan, I thought that was the case but just wanted to make sure.
