Anyone know how to fix?

That means your zip extension didn’t install. These sort of issues (that often affect the PDF extension as well) cab be tricky to debug due to lack of errors that are visible to the user. Your best bet is to look in the server context’s deploy.log for clues.

I don’t see an extension for cfzip. Is it part of a another extension? The only extension I have installed is cf administrator.

Well then, that’s your issue. :slight_smile: I’m a little confused though regarding how you’ve reached this place.

If you’ve purposefully uninstalled all your extensions, or perhaps started a Lucee light server (which comes with no extensions) then this is your own doing and you simply must install the zip extension in order to use the cfzip tag.

If you’ve started up a “normal” Lucee server and expected all extensions to be present, then please see my first reply as I gave you some debugging steps that it appears you haven’t taken yet.

According to that log, Lucee simply stopped installing things after it reached Hibernate. The first line in your log lists all the extensions that were requested, and the subsequent logs show them being installed. Well, up to hibernate anyway. Perhaps you shutdown the server before it was done? Hard to say. The logging in this area leaves much to be desired and I can’t say I’ve ever gotten any progress in a better solution for when extensions simply “don’t install”.

A short term solution would be to stop, forget, and restart your server. Then go comment and vote on bugs like this which have stalled out:

Found what there? You shouldn’t need to get anything from the download page. Just log into the admin and find the icon I highlighted in my screenshot and click install. Or, wipe the server and start from scratch, since you’re likely missing a lot more extensions as well!

I think the compress extension is listed under pre-release or snapshot, and not releases… as it’s not in the screenshot that @nalbee posted…

I had a similar issue a while back, not knowing that compress was an extension. Which I’d not grabbed as I install the lite edition, and it not showing up in the initial list.

When I went into the extensions on the server it wasn’t showing up. Kinda weird. I put a screenshot above of what was in the admin. I’ll prob wipe it and start over.I think that is a good idea.

Gah, I our last replies keep crossing each other and I’m one message behind. I see your screenshot now and can reproduce this. Clearly a bug in Lucee and I think it’s because there is no stable version of the compress extension. There must be some logic that doesn’t show extensions without a stable version. if I uninstall compress, I can’t get it back. Can you enter a ticket for this? Actually, maybe test out the latest Lucee snapshot first to make sure it’s not fixed there.

@nalbee Cool, if you don’t have to enter a ticket let me know and I’ll make sure one gets in. Looking more closely at the download page, I do see a stable version now of 1.0.0.1. I think I was thrown off since the extension, when installed, showed no stable versions-- perhaps because the only stable version was already installed. Either way, that’s super confusing from a UI perspective and there’s still something fishy keeping it from appearing.
