Anyone have a good guide on using search? cfsearch is supported but has no examples.
did you try googling it?
I did but most I find is from 2012 or earlier with using verity and adobe cf.
This doesn’t answer your question, but it might be useful information anyway: we abandoned the built-in search functionality a long time ago in favour of Elasticsearch. Does everything we need it to (and much, much more) and is a lot more stable and performant than the integrated verity/solr options we used to use in ACF.
It works using JSON over HTTP (direct Java connections are an option too), but as Lucee has great support for both, it’s not too hard.
And the docs are excellent.
If there were particular features you were wanting to map over from <cfsearch> etc. I might be able to help with some of them.
