S3 stops working after update

After finally updating to Lucee 5 I have updated the s3 extension as well
but now my files aren’t written, moved or copied to the destination. It
doesn’t do anything anymore.
Have tried did already on 2 different servers and both do the same. No
error… nothing but also no files on s3…

Is there anywhere some docs on this? Maybe I am doing something wrong but
the code has been working several years now already… except when I update
the extension on lucee5…

It’s on windows as well as on Ubuntu. No errors… nothing. Driving my crazy
at the moment because s3 is an integral part on all my software. Any help

I remember having problems with Lucee 4.5 and S3, it was related to the versions of the httpcore and httpclient jar files.

I’m not sure if this is still relevant with lucee 5 but worth a look.

We also had loads of problems with S3 following an update to lucee and the
s3 driver. In the end we dropped it and changed our components to use this
method of interacting with S3 via the rest interface. It’s faster too. The
problems seem to be related to the size of the bucket being used (as in
number of files):

Same here. Large buckets could not be handled anymore with the open source
s3 driver of the S3 extension. We changed than to using directly the AWS
SDK extension.

But than run into memory problems and a huge increase of the non-heap
memory. A AWS SKD OSGi bundle which runs under Lucee could be the solution.

Try Lucee 5 it now uses http://www.jets3t.org/

Can’t offer any advice about fixing your issue but have you filed a proper
issue in the bug tracker (https://luceeserver.atlassian.net/)?

First 5.1.034 is not an officiell stable release
Second, install the AWS SDK3 for S3.

buckets with a large number of containers.
