Back in March, ORM users on Lucee 7.0.2 reported datasource connections leaking, so the pool slowly ran dry (LDEV-6129).
We have since fixed three leak paths in the datasource manager:
- If resetting auto-commit fails when a request ends, the connection is now removed from the pool instead of being lost.
- The same applies when starting a transaction fails right after borrowing a connection.
- If releasing connections fails at the end of a request, the rest of the cleanup (including ORM) still runs.
These fixes are in 7.0.6.9, 7.1.1.13 and 8.0.0.194, and in every later build.
If you were affected, could you let us know whether the leaks are gone on a current build? Any “still happening” reports are just as welcome, ideally with your Lucee version, ORM extension (Lucee or Ortus) and version, and database. If we hear nothing within a week, we’ll close the ticket as fixed.
