Moving forward

I have followed almost every post since Lucee was announced. The main
discussion has been on fixing the broken parts of CFML. That has sparked a
lively debate. I am now looking for some consensus / direction / decisions
on these issues.

  1. Do we add a “{Lucee script}” (could be called anything that is just a
    place holder?
  2. How do we handle recommendations for “{Lucee Script}”
  3. Does CFML and compatibility to Adobe ColdFusion still matter to the
    Lucee camp?
  4. If compatibility to Adobe ColdFusion matters does that mean for
    future versions too?

While no one posted here these seem to be the questions being asked by
people like Nando Breiter. I get the business decision argument even
though I don’t see saying with ACF as a better alternative. But if we are
going to move forward answering these questions will help the project
succeed.

Yes I have been following that and everyone other thread in this group.
The questions presented were my take on the gist of that thread minus the
language improvements.

Check the ‘Outsider perspective’ thread, there’s some related stuff near
what’s currently the end of it.
