Mail Attachment on iPhone

Hi,

I’ve got the problem, that cfmail attachments (cfmailparam) will not be
displayed on an iPhone mailclient - tested with the latest RAILO SERVER:

Railo Bug: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/RAILO-3297

Is this Bug fixed on the latest Lucee Version?

Thanks for any information in advance

Jörn

Hi Jörn,

I can send PDF and JPG attachments without problems from a server running
Debian and Lucee 4.5.1.011.
The attachments also display as expected on an iPhone running the latest
iOS 8.3.

Has anybody found a solution or a fix to send mails with pdf attachment to
iPhones?

@lucee-team: Do you have an idea, when this problem will be solved?

Thank you

Apologies for resurrecting an old post, but I’ve been battling with this myself recently.

The fix indicated in https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBSEAM-4551 appears to resolve the issue … is there any plan to roll this in Lucee?

The only workaround I have for now, is for every email to contain a download link back to the PDF on the server … in addition to the attachment.

Thoughts or feedback would be appreciated

Thanks

AJ

For reference, my production server is running the following:
Version Lucee 4.5.5.006 final
Servlet Container Apache Tomcat/8.0.28
Java 1.8.0_66 (Oracle Corporation) 64bit
Architecture 64bit
