(Approximately) when will Lucee 5.0 be released?
Was hoping the announcement this week would be regarding v5 of the engine
but instead got this…we’re debating between moving to nodeJS or staying
with CFML but need to make a decision soon.
Thanks!

Same here!
We’re developing our API with Node and Hapi but our much bigger,
paying-the-bills application is running 4.1.something. I was looking
forward to 5 and the tools that were coming.

Sorry to be out of the loop, but who/what is Rasis? Not super high
prrofile, even googling ‘Rasis Lucee’ doesn’t find anything obviously
related.
Where can we find info on the specific tools that are planned?

Could it be that you mean “Rasia”?
Rasia is a member of the Lucee Association Switzerland (
http://lucee.org/members/rasia.html), this company is lead by Tanja
Stadelmann a former majority shareholder in the “Railo Technologies GmbH”
(the Swiss company that has lead Railo until 2011).
I’m only an employee in this company and Gert Franz is the CTO. Planned
tools will came out of this company.

Not sure if there’s been an announcement here but Lucee are the Platinum sponsor for dev.Objective():

Wasn’t it mostly done about a year ago at last year’s CF.Objective()?!
It’s been pointed out before but since Lucee is a fork of the last public open source version of Railo (4.2.something), any work to create Lucee 5.0 will have been new work on top of that — so, no, Lucee 5 could most certainly not be “mostly done about a year ago”.
