rendering the wrong file could be serious e.g. show one clients details to another
not showing changes just makes us look stupid when we say something is deployed but no one can see it. This effects changing the meta data in Taffy too by the way which is a total ass in development.
is that a different bug?
It’s the exact same symptom. Changes saved to a file do not get picked up by Lucee until the file is saved again.

woohoo! this commit just landed for 5.3.5.24-SNAPSHOT 
anyone who encounter problems, related to the above bugs I listed please test (one it appears in the server update admin)
