Question about current production ready releases

Pardon me for asking but I’m a little confused. My employer is currently using 6.2.2.91 and we have an on-premises product we install for customers (currently using Lucee). Their cybersecurity people are going to ask me, so I’m in turn asking the Lucee community.

I didn’t see an announcement about this anywhere which is why I ask and if I recall correctly, we had a prior version of 7 that was marked as a stable release when it was not.

Are both these versions production-ready, stable releases?
6.2.3.35
7.0.0.395

I ask because I’m about to do an install for a customer and need to see if I need to plan on using something besides 6.2.2.91 for this install.

I plan on doing some testing before using it in production but wanted to know what the most current production-ready releases are.

Sorry for asking what may be an obvious question. I’m asking this question as of Oct 31/Nov 1 in 2025.

If it’s listed on the downloads page, it’s an official release

Also, I just flagged them as releases on github

I’d say unless you already have 6.2 running in single mode, stick with 6.2 for now. Get your existing code working with single mode on 6.2 before moving to 7, that should make the process easier.

6.2 is in maintenance mode, so it’s only getting targeted bug fixes

I’ll be doing the release announcements for both on Monday
