Query.recordcount does not give me a zero

I used to <cfif query.recordcount eq 0> in CFML to know whether a particular record exists or not. But in Lucee, this query.recordcount does not give me a zero.

How else can I find out whether a particular record exists or not.

If you didn’t get zero means, what actually you got while using query.recordcount?
Did you check that?
And share here your lucee version too.
