One thing I just noticed: the current Lucee (v6.2.0.167) official PDF extension (v1.2.0.10) has the following JAR bundle versions incorporated:
- org.lucee.flyingSaucerPDF (9.1.20) → FlyingSaucer repo v.9.11.2
- org.lucee.itext (2.1.7) → iText core v.9.0.0
- org.lucee.pdfbox (3.0.0.RC101) → PDFbox repo v3.03
Was wondering if by updating these bundled JAR packages would possibly fix current issues with this official extension, as not to be obligated to rely on other plugins or workarounds just to render PDF files correctly from within Lucee?
Can these packages be updated manually, by replacing files manually?
Can one chose between these packages when rendering a PDF, as all 3 of them seem to do similar, if not the same thing?
Update: created an Update Request on this forum for the PDF extension, with all new versions of dependencies linked.
