New release (4.5.1.006) available

There is a new patch release (4.5.1.006) available to install on the “dev”
update provider.

You can find detailed instructions to update here (including instruction if
you are behind a firewall):
https://bitbucket.org/lucee/lucee/wiki/Update

Have a good day
Micha

Release Notes:
[ #188 ] cfhttp empty csv fails
[ #185 ] The Layout CFC based CustomTag still has references to the railo
package

Should this also be available on the download site on bitbucket?

Thanks.On Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 4:10:10 AM UTC+11, Micha wrote:

No, there are only stable releases (stable update provider), this is a dev
release…

Micha, is there an explicit release notes page somewhere on the lucee site
(asking for a friend)?

Superficial investigation and asking Google turned up a blank. On Tuesday, 24 February 2015 17:10:10 UTC, Micha wrote:

The express version is already using tomcat 8…
I assume that Denny build process does as well, I will look into it this
weekend. Yes lucee 4.5 is supporting everything from 6-8.

Hey Micha,

Quick question on this: is Lucee officially supported on Tomcat 8 and Java
8 at the moment? I’m asking because the EoL of Java 7 is on it’s way
(April) and was thinking this might be a good time to also make the jump to
Tomcat 8.

Every new version gets a tag in git, part of this tag are the release
notes. Igal has a tool in place to read this info automatically from git,
we plan to add this app to the website asap, then we can read the release
notes directly from git.

Come on Adam, you didn’t look very hard, it’s on the front page of the

lucee / Lucee / wiki / Release History — Bitbucket

TBH, it didn’t occur to me to look there; it only occurred to me to
search the lucee website. I expect to find stuff on Lucee on the Lucee
website. That Lucee has source code stored @ bitbucket.org is
“implementation detail”.

That said, as I just pointed out to my friend (and I really was asking
for a friend), there is this tool, too: LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You. And that
kinda finds them nicely.
