Quick update for everyone in this thread: the mail problems discussed here are fixed in 7.1.1.15-RC, which is out now: Lucee 7.1.1.15-RC available for testing. It bundles Mail extension 1.1.0.10-RC.

cfmailis no longer dropped. Both theNotSerializableException: sun.nio.cs.UTF_8when writing the spool task and theClassNotFoundException: ...MailSpoolerTaskwhen reading it back are fixed, tracked as LDEV-6455. - @August_Kleimo: a 7.0 → 7.1 update through the
.lcoor Admin now installs the Mail and FTP extensions, socfmailis no longer an undefined tag after the update (PR #2846, LDEV-6486). - @John_Hutzler: the
IMAPProvider not a subtypeerror is fixed (PR #2844, extension-mail#2, LDEV-6485), and the Mail page is back in the admin (LDEV-6458).
It would be great if you could try the RC with spooling enabled and let us know if mail works for you.
