Lucee 5 vs Lucee 4.5 for new server

Hi,

I need to spin up a new server. Are there many of you using the latest v5
with updates in production that
believe it’s just as stable as 4.5?

Thanks

Thanks, obviously it’s listed as the stable for production version on
download page but I wanted some real world feedback.
Runs as fast? Memory usage more or less?

Lucee 5 just as stable for 4.5 for us

I’m guessing that you’re experiencing the problem with the cfpdf tag?On Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 5:48:42 AM UTC-7, Clinton Howell wrote:

Ditto on the pdf font problems. Other than that its been trouble free.

I’ve problems generating PDF with v5 (fonts).
This is the only reason I’m still using v4.5.

I have a problem with V5 and the Lucene search engine.
Lucene does work Under V4, does not Under V5. (no answer as now)
If you are not using Lucene, this not a problem.

Nice, thanks for the info.

I went with Lucee 5 and latest updates. So far it’s running great. Seems
fast too. I do need to do some future functions
with cfdocument and PDF generation. I didn’t even think to check. Now I’m
worried:(

My problem was with the tag.

I was recently having problems with PDF generation and ended up using the
following instead:

It makes life so much easier as it uses the webkit engine for rendering
meaning that you can use ll the HTML and CSS that you are used to without
hacky markup and work arounds for things. On Thursday, 22 September 2016 15:13:07 UTC+1, Risto wrote:

Here’s a demo that shows what wkhtmltopdf is capable of.
