I want to add https://download.lucee.org/, or some other site that has the Redis cache extension available, but adding it via the providers page just cycles. There is no error message but the new site never makes it to the list at the top of the page.

Did you add the url to providers that have some other extension? But it never adds it. Is right?
That extension comes with .lex files means simply download it & install it through the application menu by using the file upload process.
Before get fixed this issue LDEV-2327, We can’t able to add or verify any URL on the providers.

When might the Redis cache extension be out of beta so it can be added to the main list? Surely it has been verified as working by now 
FYI, There are two types of Redis cache available (Redis driver(Beta) & Ortus Redis Cache). One comes from extension.lucee.org & another one comes from forgebox.io Both are different & they are shown under the extensions.
I don’t see the Redis driver in lucee admin. Only on https://download.lucee.org/ and I don’t want to screw something up with a manual install. I believe the Ortus extension is more robust but it’s not free and I can’t afford it yet.
